Megan Renee Melancon Goins, a 30-year-old resident of Duson, Louisiana, passed away on January 10, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1992.
Megan's body was discovered by deputies from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office in the 200 block of Stagecoach Road in Lafayette Parish. The deputies were dispatched to the scene just after 1 p.m. in response to a report of an unresponsive female. Upon arrival, they found Megan Goins, who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound.
