In the summer of 2023, the life of a young man from Decatur, Georgia, was tragically cut short. Twenty-two-year-old Charles Johnson, a Black / African American male, was found deceased on the morning of July 26th in the cemetery of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church on Metropolitan Parkway in southwest Atlanta. The grim discovery was made at approximately 6:20 a.m., and upon their arrival, emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
