In the late hours of a Saturday night, on April 19, 2025, the life of 20-year-old Diego Segura-Barbazo was tragically cut short in Kansas City, Kansas. A Hispanic male, Segura-Barbazo was found outside a residence in the 900 block of Osage Avenue just before midnight, the victim of fatal gunshot wounds.
Officers from the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:54 p.m. following a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Segura-Barbazo, who had already succumbed to his injuries. The incident was quickly deemed a homicide, marking the sixth such case in the city for the year.
