On February 5, 2025, 14-year-old Armando Gilbert, an African American boy, was fatally shot while riding his bicycle in Tampa, Florida. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of North Hillsborough Lane and East Juneau Street. Armando was accompanied by another juvenile when 15-year-old Marquis Lee, also African American, confronted him.
