Eric Patterson Jr., a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 8, 2019, in Tampa, Florida. Patterson, a former NFL player and Plant High School football star, was shot and killed inside his home on West Plaza Place. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 5 a.m., when Patterson's roommate was awakened by a commotion in the house.
