In Fort Wayne, Indiana, a heated argument tragically ended the life of 52-year-old Angela Marie Cobb, a White female, on the evening of Saturday, March 22, 2025. The incident, which marked the tenth homicide in Allen County for the year, unfolded in the 400 block of West Wildwood Avenue. Responding to a call about a shooting at approximately 6:27 p.m., Fort Wayne police officers discovered Cobb lying unresponsive in the street, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of paramedics who arrived at the scene, she was pronounced dead shortly after.
The investigation into Cobb's death quickly led authorities to her 53-year-old boyfriend, Michael Miles. According to police, Cobb had gone to the West Wildwood Avenue residence to pick up Miles, who was reportedly intoxicated. An argument ensued, culminating in a senseless act of violence. Investigators allege that after telling them he 'had enough' of the argument, Miles pulled out a gun and shot Cobb four times. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the horrific event, showing Miles standing over Cobb and continuing to fire after she had fallen to the ground.
Following the shooting, Miles allegedly took Cobb's car keys and fled the scene in her vehicle. However, his flight from justice was short-lived. A little over two hours later, diligent police work led to his location near Bowser and McKinnie Avenues, where he was arrested without incident. Miles has since been charged with murder in connection with the death of Angela Marie Cobb. In addition to the murder charge, he was also facing a probation violation and had an outstanding warrant for previous crimes.
