On a spring morning in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the life of 28-year-old Akaija Tanate Miller was tragically cut short. On May 9, 2026, police responded to a call of shots fired at an apartment in the 1800 block of Griswold Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Akaija deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. The initial investigation quickly pointed to a suspect who was not far from the scene.
