In the early morning hours of July 5, 2026, chaos erupted in Fort Wayne, Indiana, culminating in the tragic death of 18-year-old Jayla Raquel Davis. A Black female, Jayla was at a gathering in the 1100 block of Greene Street when gunfire broke out at approximately 3:43 a.m. When first responders from the Fort Wayne Fire Department arrived at the chaotic scene, they pronounced her deceased.
