On April 16, 2025, at approximately 12:50 a.m., officers from the Americus Police Department responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 100 block of Glory Court in Americus, Georgia. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old African American male Amon Kevone Harvey suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency first aid was administered until EMS personnel arrived.
