Bradley Jamal Green, a 24-year-old Black man from Americus, Georgia, was killed on July 15, 2017, after gunfire erupted at what witnesses and police described as a reunion-style block party in the Bell Street area. Late that Saturday afternoon, police and emergency crews were called to the scene, where two men had been shot. Green was taken to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, but he did not survive.
