On the evening of Saturday, April 19, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded on Tybee Island, Georgia, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Matthew Gilbride. At approximately 7:45 p.m., officers from the Tybee Island Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on the 1000 block of Lovell Avenue.
