On the evening of April 3, 2019, a tragic event unfolded at the Reserve at Riverdale apartment complex in College Park, Georgia, culminating in the death of 26-year-old Robert Ragland. Ragland, a male also known by the nickname 'Rockyrocbaby,' was fatally shot in what investigators believe was a robbery plot that went horribly wrong.
According to witness accounts, Ragland arrived at the apartments with a woman and parked his car.
While the woman went into the breezeway of a building, Ragland waited outside, smoking a cigarette. Shortly thereafter, two men emerged from the same breezeway and confronted him. Witnesses reported hearing Ragland say, 'You got me,' just before one of the men shot him. The two assailants then fled the scene on foot.
Ragland, wounded, slumped over the hood of his car and attempted to use his cellphone before collapsing. He was rushed to Southern Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. When police arrived, they found Ragland on the ground between a wall and a car, with a bloodstain on the front of his shirt and his keys and cellphone nearby.
Years after the fatal shooting, the Clayton County Police Department identified a suspect in the case. Investigators believe that a woman named Tiunna Williams lured Ragland to the apartment complex as part of a pre-arranged robbery. In April 2024, police announced that they were still actively searching for Williams and that a warrant had been issued for her arrest on the charge of malice murder. The two men who were reportedly with Williams and directly involved in the confrontation and shooting have not been publicly identified.
