In the early morning hours of Saturday, April 19, 2025, a quiet street in Monroe, Georgia, became the scene of a violent crime that claimed the life of 27-year-old Jeremiah Hicks. The male victim and his wife, Jennifer Hicks, 30, were at their home on the 200 block of Douglas Street when they were both shot during an armed robbery. The Monroe Police Department received a call about the incident at approximately 5:30 a.m.
