On Saturday, January 25, 2025, a tragic and violent incident in New Haven, Connecticut, claimed the life of 35-year-old Cedric Leonard Goodwin, a Black male. The events unfolded in the afternoon when police received reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash in the vicinity of Russell Street and Highview Lane. First responders arrived at the scene to find Goodwin unresponsive inside the overturned black Honda CR-V he had been driving.
