In the late evening of February 25, 2025, the life of 38-year-old James Lee Flowers Jr., a Black male from Paron, Arkansas, came to a tragic end in Little Rock. At approximately 8:41 p.m., officers with the Northwest Patrol Division were dispatched to 1001 South Bowman Road to check on the welfare of an individual in a vehicle. Upon their arrival, they discovered Flowers inside, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
