In the early morning hours of January 3rd, 2025, Phoenix police were called to the area near Camelback Road and 40th Avenue, where they discovered the body of 20-year-old Said Abdikadir. The young man had been fatally shot inside a vehicle. Another male victim, who had been dropped off at a local hospital the previous evening, was also linked to the shooting incident.
Detectives responding to the scene learned that the shooting had occurred late on the night of January 2nd, 2025.
While the second victim provided limited information to investigators, they were able to connect him to the event that led to Abdikadir's death.
As the investigation progressed, authorities detained and questioned multiple individuals in connection with the shooting. However, no suspects have been officially booked or arrested in the case. Phoenix police are actively pursuing leads and have encouraged anyone with information to come forward and contact them or the Silent Witness program to remain anonymous.
