On the morning of March 31, 2025, 21-year-old African American woman Montease Yvonne Booker was found fatally shot inside a residence on the 1300 block of 7th Place in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Responding officers discovered her with multiple gunshot wounds; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
