Da’Quan Blakely, a 27-year-old man from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot in the early hours of May 8, 2025. Authorities responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 5 a.m. in the 5700 block of Atlanta Highway, where they discovered Blakely suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
