On December 5, 2021, at approximately 1:15 a.m., 24-year-old Alfred Smart was fatally shot in the 2800 block of Vaughn Plaza Road in Montgomery, Alabama. The location is situated just outside the East Boulevard and off Vaughn Road. Upon arrival, authorities pronounced Smart dead at the scene.
