In the late summer of 2017, Robert Vargas, a 36-year-old Caucasian male, sought a new beginning in Omaha, Nebraska. He had recently moved to the city to be closer to his mother, a decision that brought him to a new chapter in his life. Vargas was a father to five children, and his life was tragically cut short on the evening of September 5, 2017.
