On a tragic evening in Omaha, Nebraska, the life of 17-year-old Black male JaVondre McIntosh was cut short. On June 3, 2021, gunfire erupted in the northern part of the city, leaving two teenagers with serious injuries. When Omaha police responded to a call around 8 p.m., they discovered both JaVondre and Jia'Quan Williams, also 17, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both young men were rushed to the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment.
