On July 13, 1997, the body of 35-year-old Gloria Jean Barnes, a white female, was discovered by four truck drivers at the Seven Gables truck stop in Springfield, Missouri. Her body, wrapped in blue furniture blankets, was found lying in the open on the asphalt parking lot behind the truck stop.
