Terry Love, a 20-year-old man from Oakland, California, was tragically killed on January 16, 1999. His death was part of a violent spree carried out by Mervin Ray Hughes, a 41-year-old man whom authorities described as a "cold-blooded predator." Hughes was responsible for multiple shootings in East Oakland, targeting individuals he mostly did not know.
