Cecelia Genatiempo, a 17-year-old female, was tragically murdered on the night of July 24 to 25, 1976. She was abducted from a donut shop in Gloversville, New York, by John William Hopkins, a serial killer known as "The Mohawk Valley Ripper." Hopkins drove Genatiempo to an isolated section of railroad tracks in Mohawk, where he raped and stabbed her multiple times before burying her body in a shallow grave.
