Meredith Hope Emerson, a 24-year-old Caucasian woman, was tragically murdered in January 2008 while hiking on Blood Mountain in northern Georgia. Emerson, an avid outdoors enthusiast, was last seen alive on New Year's Day, accompanied by her black Labrador retriever, Ella.
