On the morning of May 27, 2007, the body of Sherion R. Evans was discovered in an alley within the 4400 block of Lee Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. The 49-year-old Black woman had been the victim of a brutal assault, found nude with severe trauma to her head and a puncture wound to her neck. Authorities determined that she had likely been killed elsewhere before her body was dumped in the alleyway where she was found.
