Sarah McQuillan, a white female of Irish descent, was murdered in 1891 in Burlingham, New York. She was one of the victims of Lizzie Halliday, an Irish-American serial killer. Sarah and her mother, Margaret McQuillan, had previously provided lodging to Halliday in Philadelphia. Their bodies were discovered buried under hay on the Halliday property, both having been shot.
