On February 10, 2024, at approximately 5:13 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress at an apartment building on East 203rd Street in the Bronx. Upon arrival, officers discovered 40-year-old Saida Xiomara Bonilla Mejia with multiple gunshot wounds to her torso.
