Zahira Smith, a 16-year-old from Rochester, NY, tragically lost her life on June 4, 2022, while attending a Sweet Sixteen birthday party. The incident occurred at a rental home on Emerson Street, where Zahira and another 18-year-old girl were shot. The shots were fired from a vacant lot across the street, and it was later determined that neither of the girls were the intended targets.
