In the spring of 1977, the life of David Cook, a 24-year-old white male, was brutally cut short within the confines of the Colorado State Penitentiary in Cañon City. On April 30th, his body was discovered, beaten and strangled, concealed behind a tier of cells. The violent nature of his death immediately launched an investigation within the prison walls.
