A sense of tragedy befell a Denver community on the evening of July 8, 2025, when 23-year-old Tayjahn Thomas was fatally shot. The young man was inside his apartment at the Renaissance Lowry Boulevard apartments, located in the 500 block of Alton Way, when the incident occurred. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find Thomas, who was pronounced dead from his injuries.
