Louisa Emily 'Lou' Holder Hazel, a 74-year-old white woman, passed away on January 3, 1953, in Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina. Her death was later revealed to be a result of poisoning, a method employed by her daughter, Nannie Doss, who was a notorious serial killer.
