Perry Frank, a longtime band director at Grapeland ISD, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2017, following a heart bypass surgery the previous day. Frank, who was 61 years old at the time of his death, had dedicated over a decade to leading the Mighty Sandie Band, also known as The Wind Machine.
