Laterrance Tremayne Cumbie, a 29-year-old black male from Tyler, Texas, tragically died on December 14, 2016, from injuries sustained in a shooting. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of Chelsea Drive, where Cumbie was found with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to his wounds at a local hospital. Detectives from the Tyler Police Department's Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators were called to the scene, and the investigation was classified as an active homicide.
