Jerome Jones, a 49-year-old man from Tyler, Texas, was found shot to death on December 15, 2018, outside a home in the 2700 block of Old Gladewater. The Smith County Sheriff's Office responded to a call and discovered Jones with a gunshot wound. The incident was quickly classified as a homicide, and an investigation was launched.
