On July 23, 2018, 17-year-old Daquan Munson was tragically killed in a triple shooting at a residence on the 1300 block of West Dobbs Street in Tyler, Texas. Munson, who was African American, was found inside the residence along with his mother, Ladidre Blevins, and Charlie Verdell, who was 51 years old. Both Munson and Verdell succumbed to their injuries, while Blevins was hospitalized but survived.
