On October 11, 2024, 38-year-old Heriberto "Eddie" Ramirez was fatally shot during an altercation at Junior's Taqueria, a family-owned restaurant in Tyler, Texas. The incident began with a dispute between Ramirez and a customer, 54-year-old Scott "Scottie" Lee Goble, over an order. The argument escalated into a physical confrontation in the parking lot, where Goble drew a pistol and shot Ramirez. Ramirez was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
