Janet Agosto, a 20-year-old woman, was first reported missing by her family after she failed to show up for Thanksgiving dinner in 1981. Her body was discovered on February 11, 1982, in an abandoned building at 1832 Bryant Ave, Bronx, New York. She had been strangled with a ligature, and her body was found frozen and partly skeletonized. The case went cold for nearly three decades until an investigation into a serial killer led to a significant breakthrough.
