On the evening of Friday, May 8, 2009, 14-year-old Michael Goulbourne was working at a family-operated food stand in St. Louis, Missouri. The teenager, an eighth-grade student at Normandy Middle School, was assisting with closing duties at the 'Mi Hungry' barbecue stand located in the 1200 block of North Kingshighway. Around 8:30 p.m., as he and a 51-year-old male co-worker were securing the business for the night, a vehicle pulled into the lot.
