Police officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Chippewa Street around 10:15 p.m. following reports of a shooting and a subsequent vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they discovered a chaotic scene where a pickup truck had collided with a residential home, causing significant damage.
Lying near the wreckage was 19-year-old Kobe Dotson, who had been thrown from the vehicle during the impact. First responders found him barely breathing and immediately transported him to a local hospital for urgent medical attention.
