Trini Do, a 29-year-old woman of Vietnamese ethnicity from Grand Prairie, Texas, tragically lost her life on July 23, 2011. She was fatally shot by her estranged husband, Tan Do, during their son's 11th birthday party at a roller rink. The shooting spree also claimed the lives of Trini's sisters, Lynn Ta and Michelle Ta , her brother, Hien Ta , and her sister-in-law, Thuy Nguyen . Four other people were injured in the incident, but fortunately, no children were harmed.
