Wesley Blackmon, a 22-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically died on September 13, 2014, in Marshall, Texas. He was a freshman basketball player at Wiley College. Wesley was fatally shot during an off-campus altercation that also left another student injured. The incident occurred early on a Saturday morning, and it was reported that the altercation began as an argument.
