Julius Smith, a 30-year-old man from Marshall, Texas, tragically died on May 9, 2021, after being shot in the head behind a Wendy's restaurant. Police were called to the scene shortly after midnight when people reported hearing gunshots. Upon arrival, they found Smith near a dumpster behind the restaurant, partially hanging out of the front passenger door of a black Honda sedan. He had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
