Cedric Eugene King, a 49-year-old African American man from Marshall, Texas, tragically lost his life on June 17, 2021. He was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds at an apartment complex on Veterans Avenue and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was quickly classified as a murder, and the Marshall Police Department launched an immediate investigation.
