On the evening of August 26, 2023, in Marshall, Texas, 36-year-old Russell Dale Crawford Shyne was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 800 block of Francis Street. Upon arrival, officers found Shyne with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center, Shyne succumbed to his injuries.
At the scene, law enforcement detained 40-year-old Tramaine Rondell Dunn, who was found in a white car.
