Tyler Andrew Garcia, a 14-year-old boy from Iowa Park, Texas, tragically passed away on October 26, 2014. Born on November 8, 1999, in Temple, Texas, Tyler was remembered as a kind, sweet, and talented young man who loved music, theater arts, and his school's ROTC program. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was deeply involved in his Catholic faith, serving as an altar boy at St. Mary's.
Tyler's death was ruled as an accidental death, and there were no arrests or suspects linked to his passing. The community mourned the loss of this bright and giving young individual, and a memorial service was held in his honor at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. His family, friends, and the entire community were deeply affected by his sudden passing, and memorials were suggested to the Iowa Park High School ROTC Program, The Lupus Foundation, and the “A World for Children” Foundation.
Despite the tragic circumstances, Tyler's memory lives on through the love and respect of those who knew him. His family, including his parents, siblings, and numerous friends, continue to honor his legacy by remembering his kind heart and the positive impact he had on their lives.
