Angel Melchor, a 32-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on November 24, 2014, in Houston, Texas. He was found deceased behind a residence at 1100 Hamblen around 11:45 p.m. The Houston Police Department responded to a weapons disturbance call at 4209 Irvington and a reported shooting at 1000 Yale before discovering Mr. Melchor's body.
At the time, it was unclear if the incidents were related, and the investigation was ongoing.
The HPD Homicide Division, led by Sergeant H. Garcia and Officer C. Cardenas, took charge of the investigation. They urged anyone with information to contact the HPD Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers. Despite the efforts, no arrests or suspects were publicly identified in connection with Angel Melchor's death.
The case remains unsolved, and the investigation continues to seek justice for Angel Melchor and his family. His passing left behind three children, Tatiana, Angel H., and Aaliyah Melchor, as well as his father, Ernest Melchor, and brothers, John Gallegos, and Richard Gallegos.
