Derrico Moore, a 20-year-old African American male from Detroit, Michigan, tragically died on April 7, 2022, in Houston, Texas, due to an accidental shooting. The incident occurred at an apartment complex near Texas Southern University, where Moore was a student and a talented trumpet player in the university's marching band, the Ocean of Soul.
