Natanael Fuentes Reyes, 68, male, Hispanic/Latino, left home for his familiar dawn walk with a longtime friend along the footpaths of Wildheather Park in southwest Houston on June 27, 2025. Just before sunrise, a witness discovered the two men on the trail, each shot multiple times from behind, the quiet of the morning broken by an attack investigators would later describe as an ambush.
