Albert Martinez, a 30-year-old male, tragically lost his life on April 18, 2015, in Lubbock, Texas. His death was part of a double homicide case that also claimed the life of Jennifer Cruz, 27, who was his girlfriend. The incident occurred at their home in the 5000 block of 44th Street.

David Ricardo Carrillo, Cruz's ex-husband, was identified as the suspect. According to the arrest warrant, Cruz made a 911 call pleading for Carrillo to put the gun down and stop. Gunshots were heard duri ...
